Waste Efficiency is a specialist provider of waste management, recycling and facilities management
solutions for the manufacturing, logistics and engineering sectors.

We work closely with our customers offering a consultative service, and adding value to your business by delivering the optimum waste management solution to you through our network of accredited local partners.

Our aim is to eliminate the difficulties that your waste management may be creating for you and further improve the elements that are performing well. In doing this we will positively contribute to your CSR which will enhance your business and brand.

Our senior management team has over 30 years’ experience helping companies transform their waste into a profitable resource and adding a valuable additional income stream to their business.

Control of Waste Management

We give you full control over all your waste streams. Rather than multiple suppliers, we look after every waste stream for you, all the compliance associated with that, and analyse the data to improve the systems for you.

Compliance made easy

Compliance is always a bugbear when it comes to waste management. We pull it all together on your behalf though, ensuring there are audit trails for every waste movement and that every supplier we use, is fully accredited and compliant.

Tailored reporting

Through our online portal, you can gain access to a full suite of reports that cover everything from the waste hierarchy to the carbon emissions and credits for recyclables.

All this data is a vital tool to help improve on things on an ongoing basis.

Continuous improvement

We don’t believe in putting a contract in place and then leaving it! We’ll work closely with you to continuously improve on your waste management.

Carbon neutrality

We can help move towards the target of zero waste. With our input, we will move as much waste up the hierarchy as possible, plus of course monitor and report on the carbon emissions through our in-house Waste Management portal.

Saving costs

By being greener there are often associated cost savings. Whether it’s moving a waste from a general bin to be separately recycled or finding a route for a particular waste stream to be turned into a revenue, we will find a way to do it.

FAQs

Will I be able to reduce my waste to achieve Zero Landfill?

We strive for all waste to avoid landfill. There is the rare exception with some hazardous materials, but in the main, you should be able to attain Zero Landfill status from day one.

What is hazardous waste?

Hazardous wastes are materials that contain substances or have properties that might be harmful to human health or the environment. Hazardous waste is governed by far more stringent legal requirements, including storage and disposal as well as necessary record-keeping. If you are in doubt about how hazardous waste regulations may affect your compliance and operational requirements, contact us for expert advice.

What waste types can you deal with?

We can deal with all waste types via our network of fully audited and trusted partners. From general waste to hazardous materials, we have all your requirements covered.

What materials can be recycled?

These days most materials can be recycled, and we will work with you to identify these materials in your general waste and how to deal with them. The main recyclable materials are card, paper, plastics and glass. As more innovative techniques are employed in the industry however, many additional waste streams have now also become recyclable.

What is DMR?

DMR stands for Dry Mixed Recyclables, where a mixture of recyclables can be collected in the same container, including paper, card and plastics. In some areas, you can also add glass into the mix.

What is EfW?

EfW is Energy From Waste. Wherever possible, this is the route that we will send your general, non-recyclable waste down to ensure you have not only achieved zero landfill, but there is also some energy recovered from your waste.

How can I keep track of all my waste collections and compliance?

Our online portal will give you access to the details of every waste collection from your site. You will be able to see everything from the weight, to the licenses for the end disposal or recovery point. On top of all that, you can also track the CO2 emissions associated with your waste management activity.

How can you reduce our waste costs?

General waste is expensive to dispose of, so the more materials we can divert to recycling the better. Depending on the volumes of any particular type of waste, we can often transform a cost into a revenue stream. We can also make savings through more focused management of hazardous wastes. Contact us today to see what we can do for you.

What is CSR?

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that drives your company to be socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, companies become conscious of the impact they have on society, from an environmental perspective as well as economic and social aspects. To truly engage in CSR means that a company will always strive to be operating in ways that enhance society and the environment and not in any way contributing negatively to them.
