UK first for recycling qualification
Employees from
leading waste management company, Waste Efficiency, are celebrating a “UK
First”, as the first outsourced recycling team in the country to graduate with the
latest formal recycling qualification.
The training has been provided through an
organisation called QSP, to Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory
Board (WAMITAB) Recycling Level 2.
Waste
Efficiency provides specialist waste-handling teams to companies and
organisations who choose to outsource their waste management. MD, Tim Reed said: “This qualification
illustrates our commitment to quality both to our staff and to our
clients. We are determined to provide
the best possible service and support and this can only be achieved through
strategic investment into our people.”
The
WAMITAB Recycling Level 2 training took three months and involved training on
the accurate segregation of waste to maximise recycling levels, waste
legislation and the safe handling of materials.
The
team provides waste management and cleaning services to a number of major
organisations, and this particular team was based at one of the
Waste
Efficiency has enjoyed tremendous growth over the past two years, with a 50%
increase in workforce year on year. Now
with more than 50 recycling teams nationwide, Waste Efficiency has set up a
dedicated Recycling Division to provide specialist solutions and resources.
